Pick of the month: The Raven Tower by Ann Leckie. This was a quiet, thoughtful book with some cool worldbuilding. I liked Ancillary Justice, and it is so far my favorite Leckie still, but she really is a master as putting a world together, and I feel like her best is yet to come... before we get there, though, this is an un-flashy but competent book that does a lot of cool stuff, and makes me feel better about her decision to (temporarily?) move away from the Ancillaryverse.
