Reading Roundup Wrapup: September 2016

Pick of the month: The Marvelous Land of Oz by Eric Shanower and Skottie Young. I read some great books this month, foremost among them being all the Shanower/Young comic books adapting L. Frank Baum's Oz novels. This was probably my favorite of the six, because Marvelous Land's large cast of bizarre characters (Jack Pumpkinhead, the Sawhorse, the Scarecrow and the Tin Man, Professor H. M. Wogglebug, T.E., the Gump) gave Skottie Young the most to play with. But really, they're all quite good. Shout outs must also go to Last Stand of the Wreckers (the best Transformers comic I've read so far), and the first volume of Doctor Who: In Their Own Words (an oral history of the making of the programme).

All books read:
1. The Transformers: Last Stand of the Wreckers by Nick Roche & James Roberts
