Pick of the month: Light from Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoki. This was the very last book I read for the Hugo Awards, and it was my favorite. Space aliens running a doughnut shop, demons stealing the souls of violinists! More on it tomorrow, and then next week. The Last Graduate was a very close second here.
All books read:

- The Glorious Dead: Collected Comic Strips from the Pages of Doctor Who Magazine by Scott Gray, Martin Geraghty, Adrian Salmon, Roger Langridge, et al.
- JSA by Geoff Johns, Book Three by Geoff Johns, David S. Goyer, Stephen Sadowski, Rags Morales, Peter Snejbjerg, et al.

Another good month! Again, mostly Hugo reading, but I squeezed in other stuff: from the reading list (#2), morning comics (#3, 11, 13, 16), and Oz books with my son (#4, 7, 9, 10, 15).
All books acquired:
- The Magical Mimics in Oz by Jack Snow, illustrated by Frank Kramer
- The Shaggy Man of Oz by Jack Snow, illustrated by Frank Kramer
- The Lost King of Oz by Ruth Plumly Thompson, illustrated by John R. Neill
- Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
- The Runaway in Oz by John R. Neill, illustrated by Eric Shanower
- The Emerald Wand of Oz by Sherwood Smith, illustrated by William Stout
- Trouble Under Oz by Sherwood Smith, illustrated by William Stout
- The Hungry Tiger of Oz by Ruth Plumly Thompson, illustrated by John R. Neill
- The Gnome King of Oz by Ruth Plumly Thompson, illustrated by John R. Neill
- The Hidden Valley of Oz by Rachel Cosgrove Payes, illustrated by Dirk
- Light from Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoki
You might notice some kind of pattern here! Indeed, of the last seventeen books I have acquired, fourteen of them have been Oz books. #3 and 8-10 were ones I picked up so my son and I could read them; #1-2 and 5-7 were birthday presents... which my son and I will eventually get to, too
Books remaining on "To be read" list: 688 (down 1)
